A new 1920s Romance

I am so excited about this new movie Cheri, just look at the gorgeous locations and the costumes and cars are to die for. Cheri is an upcoming film adaptation of the 1920s novel by French author Colette. The film is scheduled to be released in the US June 26th 2009 and is already out in quite a few countries.



This romantic drama is set in Paris, and focuses on the aftermath of a romance between a middle-aged woman (Michelle Pfeiffer) and a young wealthy son of a courtesan. The young man retreats into a fantasy world after being forced to end his relationship with the older woman who educated him in the ways of love.

Is it odd that I really want to see this movie only to drool over the costumes? About 12 seconds into the trailer on imbd Michelle Pfeiffers character is wearing the most gorgeous and I mean the most gorgeous large black hat with an elaborate cut out design. I want that hat so bad! I found a picture of the hat though it looks much better in the trailer for some odd reason.

Second this marvelous wool coat from the late 1930s early 1940s with its exquisite matching muff that even has a hidden pouch for your lipstick or compact is any gals dream coat. If only I had an extra $400, this would be in my closet. Among the array of vintage clothing I also adored this handsome men's coat and this drop dead gorgeous 1950s evening gown. All in all every item offered by Contentment Farm Vintage is a one of a kind piece of clothing that will definately be an amazing addition or start to anyones collection or wardrobe.
